However, the rules of the game in Duelist Kingdom weren't as concrete as in Battle City and onwards, so Yugi's win is much more impressive and technically skilled. The only other duelist who accomplished a similar feat is Pegasus, who used Crush Card Virus to destroy all of the monsters in Kaiba's deck, which enabled him to effectively win through Deck out. This is an incredible feat that marks Yugi basically the only duelist in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime to actually win through this method. This then let Yugi win his rarest card, which was Slifer the Sky Dragon, which was easily the most powerful of Yugi's most iconic cards. By taking control of the linchpin of Strings' strategy and playing it against Slifer's automatic destructive abilities, Yugi was actually able to force Strings to draw his entire deck, thereby losing the duel through Deck out. However, Yugi was able to cleverly use that combo to his advantage. This monster was nearly impossible to beat, especially when Strings implemented a combo to draw an incredibly large amount of cards in order to make its attack even higher. Strings was a puppet of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s biggest villain Marik who wielded the incredibly powerful Slifer the Sky Dragon.
